Something feels different in the August edition.

And it should.

We never wanted GMEN to simply be a magazine squeezed onto a phone. We wanted to rethink what a gay men’s magazine could feel like in your hand.

This edition gets us much closer.

Stories now unfold page by page — more like a magazine, more like a book, and hopefully with that dangerous little “okay, just one more page” feeling.

You’ll start seeing audio on selected articles, so when you’d rather listen than read, just hit play. Put your headphones on, go for a walk, lie on the couch — GMEN can come with you.

This month we’re talking friendship, bodies, sex, foreskins, confidence, growing up different, Wear It Purple and plenty we probably shouldn’t discuss at the dinner table.

Some of it is serious. Some useful. Some completely ridiculous.

Which is a fairly accurate description of being gay.

But underneath it all is why GMEN exists:

I want you to see yourself in these pages.

Funny. Complicated. Sexy. Occasionally insecure. Sometimes brave. Frequently horny.

GMEN is still evolving — and you’re here while we build it.
